Sarasota

Sarasota is a city in Sarasota County on the southwestern coast of the U.S. state of Florida. It is located at the southern end of the Tampa Bay Area, north of Fort Myers and Punta Gorda. The city is known for its historical heritage, as well as beautiful views, extensive beaches, and a strong commitment to environmental protection.

The city contains several islands, such as Lido Key, Otter Key, and Bird Key, in Sarasota Bay. The largest one - Longboat Key - is partially in Sarasota City. Much of Sarasota's industry is based on tourism. Sarasota with its constantly developing social side has many amenities for both tourists and residents.

Sarasota County Public Schools is the public school district serving the Sarasota community. Over 40,000 students study here in numerous primary, middle, and high schools. The school district's leadership - called The Landings - is located in South Sarasota.

The list of historic sites in Sarasota includes the Municipal Auditorium, Sarasota Times Building, and Seagate. We also find a lot of Italian build style and the influence of Italian culture. Sarasota is also known for its specific school of architecture, known as the Sarasota School of Architecture.
